Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays for the PC crowd

Current Status:

1)       I am hanging on to self employment managing Mission Spring Properties and doing some technical service work for Dan’s Alfastreet USA. Alfastreet provides casinos with a multiplayer roulette gaming machines.

2)       Dan and I are now the sole owners of Mission Spring Properties as Evan wanted to explore other opportunities.

3)       With the split Dan & I experienced the second happiest day of a boat owners life, this also goes for the “Most Expensive Beer in the World!” Now I ride Harley’s and Dan raises kids. Olivia and the soon to be Samantha. (I am laying my money on Feb 23rd Yeah!)  Those are my Nieces names. I have yet to name the bikes.

4)       I am remodeling my house. The movie “Money Pit” springs vividly to mind.

Some Adventures:

Annual Wisconsin Fishing Opener:  Scott Visger continues a great tradition of the WI fishing opener. Hubert missed 2006 due to a back problem, but is expected to make it this year. Tom Votruba has just been coming out to fleece us at the card game but maybe we will actually get him out on a boat. Thanks again to Scott Visger for arranging a great weekend for all of us.

Sturgis 2005: I made it to Sturgis in 2005 with Mike Borchardt, Chris Becker and Tom Griffin. We stayed at the famous “Buffalo Chips” camp site and rode to Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and the Devils Thumb. The bikers at Sturgis look intimidating but in reality are very laid back and personable. Quite an experience, I am up for it again if anyone is interested?

Alaska Fishing trips:  Tim Hovde invited me on two more “Fishing trips of a life time” We went back to Alaska in 2005 and 2006. Alaska is too beautiful to be dulled by inadequate adjectives. Massive Glacier’s calving in defining silence, majestic whales, Brown Bears, Moose, Dahl Sheep, Caribou, and on and on. I would like to say thank you to Gale Vick and Family, the fishing crews, and Paul Vick for all their hospitality great cooking, and endless jokes and stories.  Tim Hovde and the Hovde family thanks again. Paul Vick finally made it to Vegas for a short visit last month on his way to Port Angel Mexico. I hope he stops on his way back to Alaska next spring.

China Trip: Early in 2006 Dave Banks a long time friend and former room mate went to Guangzhou China to check out some business opportunities. We broke away to Hong Kong for a couple days. China is incredible, there is quit a lot of construction going on and it is racing into the 21st century. It is not a third world country anymore. We stayed in the most beautiful hotel with a 5 story foray for a whopping $45/night.

Jamaica: I had the pleasure of visiting Kingston Jamaica, and participated in “Carnival” and Dunn’s River.

Seattle Trips: Each time I go to Alaska I stop off to visit Carl, Lynn and Jessica Brandt. This picture is of Jessica and I at the famous Seattle Troll. I never went to visit it when I lived there so we had to make a special trip. The Brandt’s finally came to visit Vegas for a wedding this year. It was the first time Lynn was here since she did her law internship in Vegas 1993 or 4?

Annual Pig Roast:  Mike Fennoci had or annual “Pig Roast” on Memorial Day in 2005, I had to suspend the 2006 due to the house remobilization. I am shooting to have it again in 2007 and have it act like an open house.

Slam-A-Rama: Dan and I went back for the 21st annual Slam-A-Rama www.slam-a-rama.com I did not medal in any events but had a great time. I noticed that skill is becoming less and less essential in obtaining the coveted trophy. I was the designated driver thank god. Slammer XXV in Vegas get ready.

Colombia & Venezuela: I visited Cali Colombia the capitol of Salsa Dancing so of course they took me out to a salsa club. I also went to Valencia Venezuela. My liaisons in both countries told me of how they were kidnapped. Still I feel much safer there than Jamaica.

Installing Wood Floor: Brother Burt, Dan, and Kris Davidson helped me install my new wood floor. We finished just in time to find out I have to replace the sewer that resides under such a beautiful floor. I am taking a break form remodeling the house for sanity reasons.

Deer Hunting: Jeff Kolstad and I redeemed my miserable and frustrating antelope hunt and got lucky this year mule deer hunting in northern Nevada. I got shooting every day antelope hunting but could not hit anything. I probably missed because antelope see you at a mile away and skedaddle. Dave Fox the talented local Rice Lake taxidermist and long time Wisconsin fishing opener attendee, is mounting this deer and it will hang in Spooner Outlet when it is done.
