Merry Christmas eh!

What I did on my Summer Vacation.

Bachelor Party Madison Style: We kicked off the year with a bachelor party for the Chris & Marc Becker. It was good to see the boys again. It was a great weekend. Thanks to John Becker the host. My apologies to Mike Borchardt for not having the bike ready to ride.

Skiing Telluride: I went snow boarding for my second time Ever-rrr! It was quite a depressing reality check at first but I did manage to learn how to go from edge to edge and was falling less frequently, but with more ferocity near the end of the weekend.

Rental House: I managed to purchase a rental house this year. Dan helped me add a room. I also laid about 800 ft2 of tile and several tons or rock. I found this damages your body -about the same as tumbling down a mountain with a snow board attached to your feet. Thanks to Kim and Dan for giving me a certificate for a message.

GI John: In February a good friend of ours got called to Kuwait/Iraq for his second time. Barbara and Johnny also started importing Louis Bouron cognac to the states this year. It is only distributed in Vegas now so if you need some let me know. Hope fully Jonny will be home sooner, since we were dealt the Ace of Spades.

Australia Vacation: In March Dave Banks and I took a trip to Fiji and Australia. One day in Fiji we spent on a secluded island drinking cava, snorkeling, kayaking, fishing and feasting. In Australia we got there as the war against Iraq started. The Opera House was defaced with the words NO WAR. In Melbourne I got caught in a million person march in protesting the war. Dave is a musician and played gigs the Basement in Sydney and the Espy Hotel in Melbourne. Thanks to Vanessa, Anthony and Marcus Jubber for their splendid hospitality and the shrimps on the Bar-B.

3rd Annual Fishing Opener: Scott Visger hosted a most successful third annual fishing opener at our cabin on Cedar Lake. Fishing was great and the Bald Eagles are awesome and light in the trees in front of the cabin.

Brewery: Brining with them the Hermosa Brewing Company (Breworks); which we are setting up in the building MSP purchased a few months ago. We are also finishing up the night club at our MSP property on Fremont to have a place to sell the wares.

Pig Roast: Mike Fennoci and I put on our Second Annual Pig Roast. We stream lined the process and it didn’t fall into the coals this year. It may have to be at a larger venue next year. Mike also managed to get married to Miyako this year. Apologies to Kevin McClone for not having the cycle ready to ride.

New Friends and Business Partners: We welcomed a new group of friends into our eclectic group. Anthony Gregg, Robert Benz, Patricia Spritus, and Shelby Spritus-Benz; along with an assortments of cats and a soon to be picked out puppy. Robert (Baabs! with volume) is the childhood friend of our MSP partner Evan Ranes (Caamp! With even more volume).

Sailing Mead: In July Evan, Dan and I spent a weekend in the boat. (last year 30 days this year 3 “I’m weak”) We did some stripper fishing, grilling, sailing, and saw some mountain sheep. We spent one night in a secluded cove it was awesome. We still did not reach the end of the lake?

Labor Day: I spent Labor day in Hermosa Beach visiting the Shelby-Benzes, and serving “The Best Beer in the World” at the festival. It was the first true maiden voyage for the cycle. It started on fire on Beach Blvd. Not good! A tow truck passing me noticed my predicament and flipped a “U-ie” and extinguished the fire promptly. Good real Good!!

Dan’s Bachelor Party: We had a visit from Ma “C”, father George, Bruce and Rog, Sept 6th. During their visit we had Dan Charron’s bachelor party. Cousin Carl Brandt made it here between his new job with Microsoft, the move to Seattle and their new “Nina” Jessica.

Dan & Kim’s Wedding: Dan got married to Kimberly Frank October 25th . Lots of friends, family and new family. All went well as the wedding was beautiful, we set a record for how many people you can get in a limo with 26, Dan’s good friend and sailing companion Jon Spangler debuted in Las Vegas Singing “Folsom Prison” at Tommy Rockers. Leslie-John and the kids, Vanessa and Marcus from Sydney and Scott Visger stayed at my house so there is plenty of room if any one wants to visit. http://www.charrons.com

Thanksgiving in Rice Lake: I spent ten in Rice Lake over thanksgiving to hunt and hang with the family. I got to be with Mat Visger when he got an 8pt buck and hunted several days with Tim Hovde and family. Congratulations to Kalobe for bagging his first buck and the Hovde Family on the birth of Nina Kalisha.
